popping noise...help please =)

Hey I just got an 89 wrangler a week ago and was making a popping noise every once in a while when going into 1st but I didn't think anything of it since I haven't driven a stick in a while and thought I did it but today it started doing it more. Mostly when I'm getting into first and turning a corner. I also heard it start making a slight popping sound in 4th and 5th on the way home.. =(

Any ideas?

I just found out it doesn't have ay bushings in the back so I'm guessing its coming from that.

That could be a Good thing, It may have a locker in the rear, and makes a poping sound and a little wiggle when it does, that's Great! A locker get some one to pull the cover and look, oil change is good any way and get to see how the rear end gears looks.

So I took it in today to get the new bushings put in since they were so sure that that was the problem and come to find out it was the spider gear...I took it in last week to have them look at it and they told me "no, its definitely the bushings" grrrrr.... I've only had this jeep for 3 weeks.
