Popping sound off the start

So I recently installed a rough country 2.5" lift kit and am having some drivetrain issues at first I had a driveline vibration but that has died out possibly everything settled in place but now when accelerating in first gear there's a popping noise sounds like it's from the rear axle but I got under it today and if I grab the drive shaft and rotate it there is play in the transfer case rear output shaft FYI it's the 2.5 with the ax15 and np231

My first suspect is u joints. If not u joints then maybe the D35 spider gears? Have you tried it in 4wd to see if its still there? Just some thoughts.

Well i feel stupid and excited at the same time it was just time to re-torque everything so the u bolts that hold the leafs to the axle were a little loose so when I got going the axle would rotate but I looked in the lift instructions and didn't see any torque specs for them anyone know what I should torque them at

All depends on your driveline angle. Some can be corrected with a 1" drop. Some can be fixed with a 4* shim for the rear axle, aiming the pinion toward the tcase. Some need both it is dependent on the Jeep, each is different.

Im actually surprised you have vibrations. Thats fairly straight, but a tcase drop would help the tcase side of the ds angle. Heres a pic of mine.

That's awesome I need to go on my first trail ride since the lift but I'm not positive the brake lines are long enough to do any serious flexing
