porblem with me lift. have a question... just one

K so i have the rough Country 4 1/2 inch lift as alot of you know I bought the jeep with the lift I have read nothing but good reviews from on the rc lift. So what I think the problem is, is that when the lift was installed it was torqued down while still in the air not on its own wait.. so my question is, if I lift the jeep up and loosen the lift up and set it back on its own weight and the torqued the lift down would it ride nice or still like a board pls tell me what you think

I wouldn't think that would make a difference. I have the same lift and my YJ rides a little stiff as well. It definately makes for a better ride with some weight onboard. Mine has a hard top and doors, V8, and a winch on front and it rides much better than it did at the begining of the summer when I had the top off and no winch with the six cylinder...I put on a few pounds this fall as well so thats probably why its riding better.

To make my YJ with the same lift ride better, I have removed the front and rear track bars. You get a little more body roll, but a Jeep is not a go-cart anyway. Just be aware that you will not be able to handle the corners as well. If you don't wish to do that, you may look into different shocks and see if that helps.
