I am in the middle of installing my new manual posi-lock to bypass the vacuum line that no longer works. In the directions it says to 'plug the line to the vacuum transfer case switch' with the provided cap.
How do I know which line leads to the switch and where would I find it?
Look on the back side of your intake manifold. If it is an original line it will be a red vacuum line. That is the one that supplies vacuum to the t-case switch. You want to cap it off as close to the intake as possible. Then you can remove all of the vacuum lines in that assembly, they are all in a split loom going from the t-case to the front axle.
They are routed up over the trans, over the starter, and down the passenger side of the motor. If they are original, the colors are red, green, yellow, and blue.
