Posi lok or new vacuum?

Well what do you guys think? I have a 94 wrangler and the vacuum isn't working should I go buy the cable posi lok for around $200 or should I get the new vacuum parts? And how much would I be spending to replace the entire system?

Just pin the collar in place with some washers costs about 3 dollars.

The shaft will spin, but you don't have power going to the front axle until you shift the t-case. Same as on the TJ, ZJ, etc etc.. thus not an issue in a daily driver.

Couple of questions...

Do you get the shaft out by unscrewing the motor? I am having issues getting the nut that holds the motor to the assembly to budge...

Could you just as easily take out the e-clip then slide the fork over and replace the e-clip?

You can put a large bolt into the drain plug after shifting the fork over, it works perfect.

I found it for $192.95 but I only saw 4 listings. Can you post a link to the one for $129.95?

I just went through this last week, decided to go with the cable. CSE Off Road has the Rugged Ridge version of the Posi Loc for sale for 124.95. its the same unit as a PosiLoc. i ordered it and it came in 3 days . Easy Install

450900 Alloy USA Differential Cable Lock Kit, Front D30 Axle Jeep Wrangler (YJ) 1987-1995, Cherokee (XJ ) 1984-1991

I also got the replacement HD Forged Fork for another 29.00.

I have a couple friends that have just locked their CAD by adding a spring over the shaft to push the fork to the drivers side and it works fine. I just was not comfortable having the axel locked together all the time
