Power Steering Pump Advice

Hi,
When I turn the steering wheel the engine rises RPM.In 4X4 in VERY slow speed when turning more than 90deg the driving wheel becomes somehow loose and unresponsive. When making a full turn there's a rattling noise from the Power steering pump , so I think stat first with changing it.
I found online A1 Cardone Power Steering Pump 20-813 and 20-820 for suspiciously low prices.
Any advice and experience with these pumps?
Thanks!

You should get a pump and reservoir as one unit. Also, your pulley will have to be removed and then pressed onto the new unit. An auto parts store should have the equipment to do that.

But mine are separate?
Is there a possibility that my problems are coming from the Steering Gear not the Pump?

What year/engine do you have. I was thinking of an early set-up. If you're turning in 4wd on dry pavement you're going to get wheel hop. That's normal. You're going to get power steering noise when you go lock to lock. If everything is fine in 2wd then you probably don't have a problem. If you loose power steering driving and turning normally in 2wd then you have a bad pump.

95/2.5L You are right there is no problem in 4wd , I did not know about the dry pavement issue. So one problem solved This was my biggest worry. Thanks!
In 2wd when I turn the wheel ,not driving, the RPM rise. Otherwise it's steering normal.A little hardly returning the wheel to zero position.

Rpm's do increase when turning the steering wheel while not moving, no problem with that. There's a pressure sender on the p/s hose that tells the computer to rise rpm to keep from stalling engine when setting still.
