Question Power Steering Pump/Pully

I learned what was wrong with the belt, and why it kept snapping. It was the power steering pully, it was all kinds of bent up around the edges and also the "factory" crack? Was starting to pull away.

BUT
the question I have,
Does anyone have any idea how to get the pully back on? We got it off with this specail tool they use. But it's not helping us put it back on like it says it will. Then the Hanes Manual says that using a bolt nut and washer to get it on somehow, and thats not working either.

I was just woundering if someone have an opion about how to get it on. i really apperciate that help, and I will keep searching on here for it. I'm stuck

thanks so much.

The pulley tool you used to take it off should put it back on. There is a bolt that threads down into the pump and a block or nut that will be used to tighten down and press the pulley back on.

If you do it with a hammer you'd risk damaging the pump. Read the link I posted and it will tell you how to use the pulley tool properly.

Well the tool in that picture is different then the one I have, I will get a picture of it and show it to yall, but its like that one screw, but then has two sides that almost clamp onto the sides of the pully. We tryed a hammer, but got nervous about hurting. If yall need a picture i will gladly put it on here. This whole thing has been a friggggin adventure, and i thank yall sooo much for all the help, i'd totally be drollin clueless over it with out you guys.

Go to AutoZone and get their loan-a-tool PS Pulley Puller Installer... it's like $40, and you get the money back when you return it.

when i did mine, it came with a cheesy bolt thing to reinstall it. the nut jumped a thread so i was fighting the tool as much as the pulley. put some oil on the shaft first then use the tool to put it on. dont hammer it, or you'll be doing this again in a week when the pump goes TU
