Problem after first starting

I have a 1997 jeep wrangler with a 2.5 four cyl. After I first start it and start to take off it acts like it is out of gas. It still running but it will fall on its face for 30 sec or so and then its fine until you shut it off and let it sit for 30 min then it does it again. Does not make a difference hot or cold. Anyone have any ideas?

You should be in the tj section lol. But when its 100 degrees out like it was today and my motor gets really hot it will do the same thing when I start it. I just let it cool down for a bit then it runs fine like u said.

Sounds like the fuel is nearly vapor locking. Try insulating any fuel lines you can around hot things.

Get some heat shield tape, or even better heat sleeve.
