problems with cps sensor

ok i have a problem maybe someone can help me with. i have a 91 wrangler with a 4.0 5 speed my problem be gan a week ago when i was going down the high way when the engine was under a load it woud start stalling for a second or enought to drop 500 rpm and come right back to life. i figured it would have somrthing to do with the ignition. so i started changing everything. i changed the cap, rotor, wires, plugs, coil, throttle body, computer, alitinator, and ran new grounds form the engine to the frame and form the body to the engine and still did the same thing. so i then changed the cps sensor and it ran fine for a day and started all over again. i replaced it yet again and is now runnig fine but i am affriad to take anywere and get stuck. please if anyone can think of the reason im going threw sensors let me now thank you

it is important how it is installed, and you could've gotten a bad sensor out of the box. hopefully your current cps is installed correctly, and all is fine.

it did sounds like cps problem from your description, definately a possibility.

it is the second brand new sensor and if there is a special way to install them i am unaware but it is odd to me that they last for like maybe 40 miles then dies again

sounded like you replaced your original, which lasted years, got a new one, that failed quickly, now you're on the second replacement, so its possible that you had one poor quality new part

ok, if you've lost that many cps, check for pinched or melted cps wiring.

I have a 89 wrangler, with a 95 2.5 motor. I replaced the motor and since then, it ran about 3 days, and started having the same problems as you describe. Bucking and snorting, I have replaced the computer, ran good for 3 days, then started again, I have grounded everything, and I am on my 3rd computer in 2 weeks, and it is starting again. I need help!!!!!!!! Let me know if there are any cures.
