Pull into parking space, put trans into park, engine dies.

Hey gang:

Recently, I installed a neutral safety switch on my 1987 yj. as you know, this switch is both neutral safety and reverse light switch. I figured this was the problem as I have no back up lights and the truck will start in any gear.

Well, the switch didn't cure any problems, I even reversed the plug as I thought it was "keyed" to go on one way.

Now I have a new problem, when ever I put my jeep into park, the engine shuts off. it doesn't buck or anything, just off.

any ideas at all???
Jake
