Question bout VIN?

Hey all... Can I call a Jeep dealer and have them look up my vin and tell me all the options and gears I have, etc? Also is there a way I can do this online maybe? I don't want the basic sheet. I want the fine details as well... Thanks! 8D

Go to this website: Chrysler - Contact Us

Click on "I need customer assistance near bottom"

Click on "email us"

Fill out form. Give them the VIN and say you want your build sheet. 1-2 days you should have it. I just did this a couple weeks ago.

that link will work well for the newer yj guys. if you have an older model like mine, it took them two years and plenty of requests.

you are in for a long wait, ha ha ha. mine is an 87 also. here is what they sent me, if you can decipher yours. i think htey were guessing on mine a little since mine is an amc still instead of a chrysler made one. i don;t think amc kept good records. thats why you will have trouble

Yeah I had a similar experience. And a much more detailed sheet than what busemans got. I bet he is right about chrysler not having the best records from when jeeps were still made by AMC.
