Rag Top vs Hard Top

Trying to decide between both of them. I like the Hard Top for obvious reasons so nobody will cut into it or anything like that but I live in California and having a Soft Top would be nice to drop the top and enjoy the sun. I don't really want to pay over a grand for a Hard top along with the 500+ doors.

I am in florida and only have a bikini top and love it! All i did was upgraded my center console to a tuffy one for security. just keep your doors unlocked so your top dosnt get slit

Go with the soft top man. You'll love being able to go topless in 5 minutes. If your really worried about theft, just don't leave anything of real value in the jeep. I've never had a problem and I spend most of my days topless and doorless

I have both. Hard top for the winter and soft top for the summer. You can get a hardtop and full doors for $500 on CL usually.

In the summer anyways.

Here in Oregon hardtops and doors together are from 1500-2000 in fall and winter. So if you see something don't wait until you need it...

I found a complete soft top and hardware except for the upper half doors. The guy wants $375. Sounds like a great deal because on Ebay I found for around $600 but there's a problem. The rag top on CL is listed for 97-06 and my Wrangler is a 93.

Oh just found a hard top for cheap like $500 bucks and it came off of a CJ7. Have no clue if that would fit. Might be able to get his hard doors in the deal as well.

True that. I hear a lot about frameless rag tops. Don't know if my roll cage will work for that but it's a hellva lot cheaper then rag top with frame.
