RC 2.5'' Vs. 4'' lift

So lifting my yj and im caught in the debate on how much. would love the 4'' for the mud and rocks but how dose it handle for a daily driver, that's why i would want the 2.5''. what do you guys think?

depends on how big of tires you want, if you did the 2.5" and 31s you wont loose too much power without regearing, if you did the 4" and 33's, youre going to notice a large loss in power.

i have the 4 and 31s, great as a daily driver, it settles to about 3.5 inches after a year so may as well get that, it also comes with more stuff

i had the same problem went with the 4 and never looked back

and keep in minda that if your go with the 4", you will at some point down the road want a SYE and CV style driveshaft

i got lucky mine had a sye and cv shaft what i bought it but it also had a tcase drop for 2inch adda leafs why i do not know

I like my 2.5" lift. I did body mods, BL, shackle lift, and run 36's.I am glad I did not go with the 4" lift. I want to go with a 0" spring lift soa someday.

Still DD it. I don't do high way at all so thats a consideration. I guess it depends on how much you want to do.

I think it depends on how much you want to spend... Sure the cost of the lifts are usually the same, but when you go with 4" lift you can expect to buy sye and new cv shafts. when your going 4" lift your gonna want bigger tires, 33" which are more then just 31" tires. Need rims to fit the 33's. Now your going to try and push those 33's on your stock rear axle? Goodluck.... So now look at replacing your d35 to a ford 8.8.
