Rear axle seal woes on 90 wrangler

So the driver rear axle seal is leaking... anyone have a good write up on this? Do I have to tear the whole diff apart and remove the axles? Also I see no plug on the diff... what is the procedure to fill this thing back up?

yep, remove the diff cover, that is the only way to get the fluid out. then there's a small bolt holding the center pin that slides through the spider gears holding the axle shafts in place, remove the pin, slide that axle shaft toward the center (toward the other axle) and the c clip will fall out, then the axle shaft will slide out (obviously tire and drum are removed already) then you can pop the seal out. do both sides while you're hear. the surfaces on the axle and diff cover need to be cleaned, and rtv is used to seal the diff cover. fill it back up.
