Rear Bumper w/Tire Carrier

Looking for a recommendation on a good Rear Bumper/Tire Carrier combo. Something reasonably durable, with the ability to add accessories (trail rack, etc.).

Just went to 33" tires, and my spare is too heavy for the old tailgate mount...

I'm buying one of these in a few weeks. It seems heavier duty than a lot of the china-made stuff I've seen:

How about an american made one that is made when you order it? Rear bumper with tow receiver, 2 tow points, spare tire swing with 2 gas can mounting plates AND mounting points for your High-Lift jack.

All for under $500.00 and free shipping! Check out Dirtworx! I have one and love it!

I have a Dirtworx bumper and tire carrier also. Highly recommend it and got a great price. Convinced my brother in law to buy one too.

As soon as I get a little more things buttoned up on my YJ the next thing I am going to tackle is a rear bumper/tire carrier however, I want to also incorporate a winch mount too. I have an idea in my head. Now I just need the time.

If u want a winch mount just make sure you put a hitch on it a mount a winch that plugs into receiver. Just an idea.

I bought the smittybilt XRC rear bumper tire carreir. Great stuff but the latch rattles on the trail bad and the instructions sucked along with the hardware mixed SAE and Metric. Sent them a revised instruction file and the receipt for my haardware. They apologized and sent me a couple velcro grab bars so we are even. The bumper is very heavy duty and it took me some time to drill 1/2" holes for my hi-lift mounts.

Thanks for all the great replies! The dirtworx looks like the best value for the money. A couple of questions on the dirtworx:

- How do you relocate the 3rd Brake Light over a large tire?
- What's the best paint or powder coating to use?
- What class is the hitch?
- Did you have to do any drilling to install the dirtworx?

Thanks again for the support in this forum.

I don't have the third brake light but I have seen lights that mount in the center hole for the spare. That might work for you.

I used some industrial paint but powder coat would be the best and last the longest. I am not in the position to get it powder coated at this time but I used military grade flat black so touch ups are a breeze.

Ask Robert about the hitch, sorry but I don't remember what he told me.

The bumper is completely bolt on and he supplies all the hardware.

OH and one more thing, no rattles or squeeks!
