Rear diff parts...

last week i dropped the rear drive shaft, (broke my u-joint) and in the process i broke the yoke in the rear diff. problem is the yoke that was in it doesn't match anybodys books, or parts list, and now i can't find one any place... any and all info would help, please...

I lost the tabs on my rear yoke and had to replace it, I used one of these kits (1330S) to do just that. Works just fine - I had to replace the seal (why wouldn't you?) with a different one, but didn't replace the crush sleeve. It's held for about 1800 miles so far, so I guess it's a good preset, lol.

They did send me a 1310/1330 (earlier YJs have a 1310) ujoint at first instead of the 1330/1330S ujoint I ordered, and weren't too awesome about fixing it. All else went well, though. If you do go this route, buy an extra ujoint or 2. Most parts stores seem not to stock the bastard (mixmatched) ujoints.

The advantage of these is the ubolt design over the stock strap design. I did it to my own after losing 2 ujoints, and it helped, but the damage to the tab had already been done. I figured if I was gonna buy another one, why buy one I'd have to drill out?
