Rear Seat Replacement?

I have a 91 yj islander.

What other cars hold rear seats that are exact fit to the yj?

I want to make a trip to the junk yard soon and could use some help.

I have seen other threads about the front driver and passenger seats from cavaliers etc. but i need a rear seat.

If anyone has any info, it would help a lot.

Im also in the philadelphia area so if anyone is selling parts, let me know.

Thanks!

None that I know of but I am sure with a little imagination and some measurements in hand you could work something up.

I have no back seat and don't plan on one so no good news here.

Keep an eye on Craig's list or ebay for back seats. They show up from time to time from guys like me that just don't need a back seat. I've seen 'em go for $50 to $150.
Not many other vehicles have a similar back seat - it is kinda narrow there. CJ's, YJ's, and TJ's would probably interchange, but hardware and mounting will vary. Like jokerchief said, ya may have to use some imagination....

"Dang", to bad we don't live closer, took the rear seat out of my "92" that I'm getting tired of stepping around everyday.

thanks for all the feedback. I guess i was hoping i would be lucky and have a car backseat that might fit but i guess ill keep searching on craigslist.

Is it hard to fabricate and modify seats to the floorboard?

And any good tips about vinyl spray?

I been looking at the duplicolor vinyl spray and heard mixed reviews, just wondering if thats a good idea. I have two gray vinyl front seats and the roll bar is covered by what i assume is vinyl fabric. Might spray the roll bar covers black and as for the seats, paint them black on the outside and blue on the inside to match the jeep when it gets painted a darker blue. I already bedlined the floor black.

My cousin lives about 40 mins from Philly in Trenton NJ. I have a YJ rear seat for sale. If you want to PayPal me money, I'll send it up to NJ this weekend when he heads home. PM me for details or text 850-291-4473 anytime.

Suburban rear seats

This is not my build but one I have been following. He took a rear seat out of a suburban and custom fit it to his YJ. I love the look and idea and will definitely look more into possibly doing this myself. The seat instal starts on pg 13 of his forum.

thats an awesome idea using a suburban seat but it looks like way too much work for me. Im trying to find something a little easier to install. Maybe a few brackets and bolts to get it to fit.

Is black or blue duplicolor vinyl spray good to use on gray vinyl seats?

I always liked these seats, they are pricey though but easy to install
