Rebuild front axle

I have a 91 Wrangler. I want to rebuild the front axle with stronger 30 spline axle shafts. I also have an arb airlocker installed currently. I guess the first question is do I have to get a new locker for the new axles? I have never done this before so please excuse the ignorance. I know I have something going on in the differential and I just want to rebuild the whole thing and make it stronger? What kind of kit and axles should I buy?

Is the front making noise? Yes you will have to buy a new arb to upgrade to 30 spline axles. My Dana 30 started making noise. I had an arb also. It had broken the heads off all te bolts that holds the arb together. It ended up stripping three teeth off of the ring gear and trashing the arb

no noise, it just wasn't staying in 4wd. I could get it in and then it would just pop out. I had the posilok readjusted and it just doesn't stay engaged.

So the question is now what should I do to rebuild the front axle and differential with 30 spline axle shafts. Maybe I should go with Ox locker since I have to get one anyways.

The ox locker would definitely be a cheaper option to go with 30 spline axles. Do you plan on putting a one piece shaft in the passenger side and do away with the cad?

Central axle disconnect. What the positive attaches to. It is what is giving you trouble so I would eliminate it if it were me. I just used a TJ shaft to replace the two piece

You know I did this earlier this year, now when I go over 60 I get a slight vibration. U-Joints are good and the driveshaft is balanced. You get that to go away? I have been considering a TJ front shaft, but I hate CV Joints, and am not 100% sure that will make it go away.

I get a vibration too but my driveshaft isn't balanced and I don't have a cv in it either. My shakes pretty bad. I'm gonna get my drive shaft balanced and put a cv in it and see how it does. The only way to do away with the cad and not have a vibration for sure is to do a hub conversion but that's a $1000 and I don't think it's worth it.

Yeah I know. I could get a 60 with locking hubs for half that. The tj front shafts go for about $100 on eBay. I may get one of those soon
