I have a low mileage ~50k 2006 TJ Unlimited.
A while back I lost all coolant and the engine got hot resulting in a blown head gasket, a cracked Intake Manifold.
The head was milled, a new head gasket and a new intake manifold was put on the jeep. The jeep is still missing and not getting compression on one cylinder. I'm planning on pulling the oil pan and head and replacing the piston on that cylinder. I'll inspect the bore when I do this. Is there anything else that I should be looking to change while I have this thing apart? Should I trash this idea and go for a new short block?
