recommended transmission oils

I have a '91 Wrangler that I picked up about 2 weeks ago and I'm looking to change out the trans oil. What do you guys recommend using? I've heard a few different kinds (TuffOil, Redline, etc), wanted to see what the best would be. Thanks!

Auto or manual?????????

I use 75-90 Royal Purple in my 5 speed tranny and diffs and Royal Purple ATF in the transfer case. A little pricey but my girl's worth it

5 speed, 6 cyl engine. i was told by the owner that i bought it from that the shift from 2nd to 3rd is a little rough, possibly caused by the syncros. i'm just looking for the best way to counter that if it's not damaged already.

I ran Royal Purple in my 5 spd for about 10k miles. I didn't like the way the syncros were acting with it, they felt real notchy. I went back to Mopar oil. The syncros are working better, but I may have done actual damage to the syncros using the Royal Purple.

I'd recommend sticking with the stock Mopar oil.
