relocating mirror question

I have an 89 YJ, i put on new windshield hinges that have holes for the CJ style mirriors. I have the mirrors, but before I put them on, I wanted to ask...

What do i do with the holes in my full steel door once i remove the original mirrors?

whatever you want to do? I'm sure you could buy some type of rubber plug to fit in the screw holes, or rtv.

Not sure what exactly it stands for ( sure I could have googled it) but its the crap that comes in the tubes at the parts store that is gasket making material/paste.

ahh,,gotcha...

So I relocated them with the old style CJ type mirrors... kinda of a pain to figure out... they are different shaped and to use the passenger side mirror you have to look thru the windshield. Took us a while to figure out as no instructions came with the mirrors.

I am a symmetrical kinda guy, and these are VERY asymmetrical. But I am liking the look! I need to tighten up the drivers side one as the wind pushed it as i drove to work this morning...LOL when i get home i will..
