Unhappy Replaced Header and Jeep Won't Start...first time poster, need help ASAP!!!

My buddy and I just replaced my header today on my '92 Wrangler, 6 cylinder. Went way easier than I thought it would...until we went to fire it up. We labeled everything and it was all put back together properly. We went to start it and it just cranked and cranked. We figured no big deal there's probablly just air in the lines. We cranked some more and nothing. Then I figured maybe there's not enough gas in the tank. Threw some more and still nothing. It kicked two or three times like it wanted to turn over, but never did. We went for some more gas, but still nothing. We double checked everything and just cannot figure out the problem. At this point we decided, HOPEFULLY, that it's just flooded and needs to sit for awhile. So now it's just sitting at my buddy's house.
In the meantime...any suggestions here? Are we missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Check for spark, pull the coil wire after the distributor and see if you have any spark. There can be many reasons why it wont start but you should check there first.

plug you crank position sensor back in. It will start right up.
1992 YJ 6 1/2" Lift SOA , Rear Dana 44 with Detroit Electrac out of 1987 XJ, 1995 XJ Dana 30 with ARB and 4:56 gears,JB4x4 High Steer, 33" super swampers. 1995 XJ 4.0, Ax-15 trans, Dana 300 Twin stick flipped w/ northwestfab cable shifters.

And if it is not the crank sensor, pull all the plugs and see if they are fouled. I have seen this many times. If this is the case replace them all.

Thanks for the replies everybody. I haven't been back over to check on it, but is it possible the crank position sensor just went bad? I know we had everything plugged back in. Where is this sensor located so I can check it over again?
I'm hoping it's just the plugs. Maybe we fouled them trying to start if for so long and spraying starter fluid, etc in it.

Just thought of something that may have happened. I disconnected my battery, both terminals, while working on the header to see if my annoying maintenance required light would go out. When disconnecting, like a moron, I did the red first and accidentally touched it to metal and sent sparks flying. Is it possible I shorted something out? If so, what?
