replacing cat

Tomorrow I'm replacing my catalytic converter. Just wondering if when I remove the skid plate if its necessary to put a jack under the tranny or if it will be ok?

I just did mine and I put my floor jack under the tail end of the tranny: just to be sure. I don't think it dropped any but I wasn't taking any chances.

Hope this helps.
