Replacing the spider gears

Ok, so I took off the rear diff cover and the PO had removed the spider gears after a tooth broke. It *looks* pretty straightforward, but I've never attempted one before. Soooooo... Is it as straightforward as it looks?

If you're not "mechanically inclined" you and don't have a complete set of garage of tools, take your rig to your local "Ring's and Pinion" shop.

Just for spiders in and open carrier? Takes 10 minutes. With just a few hand tools.

No need what so ever to remove the ring and pinion at all. The spiders can be replaced with the carrier still installed.

Jack rear up...
remove diff cover...
Remove center pin retaining screw...
remove center pin..
couple spiders fall out.
Pull axle inward at the tire...
remove clips..
remove rest of spiders...
install in reverse order.
