i am having some problems building pressure up in the return line from the carburator to the fuel tank. sometimes my jeep runs great and sometimes it just feels like its not getting fuel. the fuel pump is new. if i clamp the return line off it runs good all of the time. any suggestions?
maybe if you put some fuel line cleaner,it could proably clean up deposits in your line, that are holding the fuel back ,so when you put pressure the fuel can actually go thru the deposits with force.also check your fuel filter.
why dont you just block it off if its running good blocked? as in dont run a return...what pressure is your pump? or reduce the diameter of the return line to help build pressure. for carb you want around 5-7 lbs. of pressure. put a pressure gauge on your fuel line and see what your running.

Mine runs like its getting to much fuel I gotta replace fuel filters but Im outta work so I gotta wait just like my clutch
