take out everything that is bolted in and tape off whatever you don't want lined. Scuff/sand the surfaces, it doesn't have to be bare metal but it won't hurt if you go that far in some spots. Clean/wipe every thing down with acetone and then have fun. As for product that's up to you, I think I used duplicolor.....

I plan on doing the same to my 95 in the spring. From what I've read here and elsewhere, its all in the prep work. The better you prep the surface to be lined, the better result you will have. Also depending which product you use, you may have to apply multiple coats. I cant wait to do mine!

Only thing I'm worried about is taking the seats out. The bolts that go thru the floor and the nuts attached to the are really rusty . I'm thinking of just taking the seats off the sliders and lining the risers too.

I had to brake those. After all I ended up cutting those out and welling in a set of new nuts. Not a biggy. With the amount of projects inside I have to take seats out fairly often so I figured I might as well have those in good shape, so the nut are new and fool of anti-seise. No problem removing seats now it'll cost you extra 2 hours of work provided you have welder available.

If you are going to go that far, I took all the bolts out and went to the local hardware store and matched the bolts and replaced all that stuff. Anything that had rust on it got sanded and either bedlined or rust-oleumed. Doing the bed liner yourself is a breeze. I just recoated the bed of mine and my roll cage.
