Honestly if you want to keep the d30/d35 then just find a junkyard matching set of axles with 4.10 gears, swap both housings out and sell your stock ones. The amount of money you'd put into new/used carriers, new r/p, and new bearings and setup would be more than a set of used axels.
The reason for new carrriers i assume is beacuse yours won't support the 4.10 ring gear which sounds odd but could be true. The carrier is the unit that hold the ring gear and connects the axles to the pinion thru the ring gear. It is also where the spider gears(or locker
) set for differential action.
