ripping/cracking metal

Today when changing out the transmission mount I noticed the Torque Arm

Bracket ( i think that's what it is called) was cracked.

Has anybody else experienced this before and where can i get a new one.

I welded the crack closed as a temporary fix but would still like to replace it.

here are some pictures

As a side note the last picture is of the back left driver seat mounting hole.

Just wondering if this is common, the passenger seat is starting to show the

problem. I have heard of people having issues like this if they had a body lift

but my jeep doesn't. any input is appreciated.

Typical for seat mounts to stress and crack. I've reinforced mine on the driver side and welded some 14 guage steel under the seat mounts into the tub floor and put the mounts back in...no problem for the last 3 years. As for the trans mount, haven't come across this yet in my YJs, just the seat problems. Don't know on that, I'd just weld up and reinforce that area with some extra steel and see what happens.

That is how I fixed it a nice 1.5" strip from the front mounting hole back to

the floor plug. Good to know I'm not alone.
