Rocker Removal and Weld Points

My first attempt at a body panel repair and I need some info from everyone here!

The image below helps hilight some of my questions (not the actual jeep I'm working on). I'm replacing the drivers rocker panel with the Quadratec patch panel. I really don't know how the original is attached and what weld points I use when putting the new one on.

So my questions are:

1. Are the front seam and top seam of the panel (see image) spot welded "around the corner"? (ie. the flange the wraps around) If so, how the heck do I cut those welds?

2. Besides the top/side seam, is the panel ONLY welded along the floorpan? Any other places it's attached?

3. You can see in the image where i plan to cut the existing panel to match the new patch length. Any 'gotchas' here?

4. Most importantly when putting the new panel on, what are my weld points? I'm guessing I'll:

a) butt weld where I cut
b) weld along the floor pan inside the jeep (stitch weld this?)
c) the seams have me stumped. How do I weld these since you can't really access the inside flange area?

Any help is MUCH appreciated...I looked around alot and couldn't find anyone giving details on this repair (even though I know it's common)
