Rough ride on accel

Hello Wrangler Forum.

I just bought a 94 YJ last week. It has 340,000 miles on it and some rusty spots but I can fix that and I got it real cheap. I always like a project and a nice off road vehicle sounded fun.

What I am wondering about is it gets a little rough when accelerating. If Im just cruising along it feels fine but under moderate to hard acceleration it gets like a vibration going. There are no odd noises just the feel.

I have blown a few diffs on my last car so I am somewhat familiar with what that is like and the same with the transmission. This one has me a bit stumped but I'm also new to 4x4.

Ideas?

Looks pretty stock so my first guess would be universal joints. Pull the rear driveshaft and replace them, cheap first thing to try and I bet that is your problem. If that fixes it you might as well replace the rest of them also and don't forget the ones at the front wheels.
