I have a 1990 wrangler with a 4 inch rough country lift and of course the sway bar bolts that came with are too short .. Will driving without a sway bar make a noticeable difference ?
I have no track bars and don't miss them, but the sway bar is noticeable when removed. I would not call it necessary, but when cornering there is definitely more body roll. I drove for awhile without one, but then put it back on and liked the on road manners better.
88 YJ 4.2 4" lift 33's -
HARD TOP OFF - sway bar off or on - NO Difference
HARD TOP ON - Big difference
SO, IMO, if you have a hardtop get the proper length disco's
