Lightbulb Rust, out to eat my Jeep.

So, I have been working on my YJ for awhile. Finally decided to finally treat the rust on the floor pans. It has progressed to the point of being able to see the ground underneath. I can't fit my finger through it, but I think one of the body mounts is no longer attached because that part has deteriorated so much. I can order a replacement floor plan, but what else should I do?

Thanks

Dig into it and find all the cancer, its what you dont see that will haunt you.

Then you can decide how to progress. If its just the floor pan, fairly quick and easy to cut out and replace, then when its welded in (or whatever method you choose) treat it with paint or a good sealer. POR15 is great to treat even rusty areas, but its kind of expensive. Another could be truck bed liner, but just dont leave it as raw metal.

Thanks, I was definitely planning to replace the entirety of the floor pan, removing the old to remove all the existing rust. What should I do about the body mount that is no longer attached to the body? Can it be readily bolted to the newly installed floor pan?

Thanks again
