SBC Oil Pan

I am doing a SBC conversion and the engine I have came with a 7 quart oil pan. Compared to stock I believe it is both deeper and wider in the deep part of the pan.

Anyone installed a SBC that could advise if this pan can stay or needs to go before I get to trying to locate the engine in the frame?

Believe it or not your are going to end up dropping it in tosee if there are clearance issues. And yes Iwould hate to give a good extra capacity oil pan but there maybe tradeoffs that have to be made to stuff that thing in a YJ. You may be able to keep if you weld and just modify to fit. Good luck.

Thanks, I kind of assumed that would be the case but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask.
