I have Grand Cherokee Seats -- they're comfortable, but they suck.

I had stock ones sold them and bought corbeau moabs. They looked really nice but were not comfortable. To high so sold them and now I have no seats. I wish I had kept my stock seats now I cannot find any. I might pick up some cavalier seats for the time being. I almost picked up some black miata seats they look nice and seem to sit low. I sure would like to see some pics of other seats in yj's if people would post them up.

Seams like alot of seats sit higher than stock. I had to cut and re-weld the brackets to make my new seats work.

I've got a pair of Grand Prix seats which are in my 89 YJ that I will be putting up for sale very soon - they recline and they bolt right in.

Interested?

Sunfire seats in YJ

Installed 2005 Sunfire seats I picked up from local junkyard this past weekend for $50. Bought the driver side seat only (no hardware) and the passenger seat with the Sunfire track.

Both Sunfire seats bolted right onto the YJ ('91) stock risers/sliders/brackets without any modifications. However, my passenger side seat riser/bracket had rusted and damaged sliders which I could not reuse with the Sunfire seats. Therefore, adapted the Sunfire sliders onto the YJ riser.

New seats do ride a little higher, but definitely more comfortable than previous seat. Previous seats (both) back side were broken and would recline backwards on their own. PO had installed a horizontal pipe across the back to keep them in place.

In the end, happy with the results. Now only need some seat covers.

My seats came from a 2006 Cavalier and bolted directly to the sliders. I did put a spacer on the back of each seat to raise the back a touch. Felt like the seat was too reclined for me.
