i got the smittybilt, it doesnt have a latch and must be locked for the door to be closed which is why i love it. it is the only place to secure anything in my jeep and i have faith in it to keep my stuff secure. From the curved door and flat surface, it would be difficult to pry open if you arent a seasoned burglar with the right tools

Many other little goodies!
Swap to a 4BT diesel in the future? Most likely.

X2 on the Tuffy, I even installed one in my MH next to the drivers seat...a bit $$ but worth it.

I went with an off brand I found on EBay. $55+shipping. Installation was relatively easy. Very solid fit and feel. I would highly recommend getting one.

Is the Tuffy made of thicker metal than the Smittybilt or vice versa? Or are they same?

I have the smity bilt. I like it. Very rugged and my passengers love the handle. Much more affordable than the tuffy.
