shackel removal questions..

so I just ordered a new set of boomerang shackles to give the old girl a little lift and because all the bushings are shot.. So my question is what is the best way to go about installing the new ones as well removing the old.. Also i have been hitting them with penetrating oil the last 2 weeks in preparation for next weekend.. I searched and did see any kind of write up for this.. Tho i might have not searched enough. I just like to know what i am getting into prior to doing it..

Really pretty easy, i put the frame on jackstands and use a floor jack to take the weight off the axle. Unbolt the shackle and slide the bolts out, put on the new and use the jack to line up the holes. The rear you may have to cut the upper bolts by the gas tank off as there is no room to pull the bolt out (when you put the new bolts on put the nut towards the tanks). If you have rust a cut off wheel is your friend, sometimes the shackle bolt actually fuses with the rubber bushing and will not come out. You're not reusing any of the hardware so don't be afraid to destroy the old crap.

The bolt on the rear driver's side generally needs to be cutoff to get it out. The gas tank is in the way.

Some have reported ninja-like skills and twisting of the spring to get it out, but I wasn't able to do it that way.
