Shifting Problems 94 Wrangler

First off what a great site it has been so helpful in helping me fix many different issues I have been running into. I just purchased a 94 jeep Wrangler and the last couple days I have been having a problem shifting. It is a 6 cyl manual transmission. Here is what happens:

I will get to a light and I will push down the clutch and it will not go into any gear after a min I will depress it again and it will go in all while getting honked at by people behind me. It does this off and on Please any insight would be great.

Thanks in advance for your help guys!!!!!

You did not mention if you are sitting at the light with the transmission in neutral? If so it sounds like you could have a leaking clutch master cylinder seal. To check it. Start up and put the transmission in gear and hold the clutch in. If the cylinder seal is worn out it will slowly leak down and the clutch will engage.
