silly AX4/5 trans question

Going to change the lubricant in the trans. Went to open the drain plug, and for the life of me I couldn't pop it open. I was using an open end wrench and putting a good amount of force on it. Is it ok to put an impact gun on it, considering its an aluminium case, I don't want to risk breaking it. I had it sitting overnight to let the case get cold before trying. Like the title states, a silly question put any suggestions would be helpfull

I can answer your question . Drive your jeep around till it's at normal operation temp. Then try. Its aluminum so it will get hot and unscrew pretty easy. Do not use an impact wrench if anything use a socket the correct size and breaker bar. Remeber lefty loosey righty tighty

15/16 six point socket and a long breaker bar.
