Silly Horn Question

Hello All

I've been having on and off horn problems. I'v sourced it to the "spring plate disc" part of the horn switch in the steering wheel

I took it all apart ,cleaned off the rust ect and put it back it possible the spring plate has lost its "spring"??

is there a replacement source for those?

any suggestions

I don't know what year you have but my 89 has a relay under the dash by the fuse box that went bad at one time.

Make sure that you didn't get the spring disk in backwards. The cone should be high in the center, not down.

For sure not the relay...I can control the horn by playing with it on the steering wheel

Let me try flipping the spring disk it and I will let you know

I replaced my horn button with a grant kit. But didnt seem to be compatible with the stock steering wheel so also ended up putting a new steering wheel on. I think it was less than $40 for the new wheel and kit. But make sure you use a steering wheel puller if you decide to go this route.
