Single or Double lip rear main?

FSM calls for single lip on my 91 4.0. Auto parts stores only have double lip. Will double lip work properly?

The factory single lip seal will wear a groove into the crankshaft over time, reducing the effectiveness of the oil seal.

The double lip provides a second lip on an untouched section of the crankshaft, giving you a new factory-like seal. No groove to be concerned about.
