Needs to be at perating temp for awhile before the test. Check the visuals, vacuum lines all plugged in somewhere, CAT installed, and a good gas cap. Oil changed recently and you should be good to go.

Never do this, it will slow the burn time, potentially causing other issues, use whatever your Jeep calls for.

Take it in hot (A quick run down to Oroville in 4th and back should do), you are in Chico, so they only do Idle and 2500 tailpipe test.
They will check the fuel cap functionally (should probably just replace it, any small crack will cause it to fail), and perform a EVAP functional test, pressurizing your fuel tank and EVAP line from the tank to the Charcoal canister.
They will check for ANY aftermarket parts and if you have any they MUST have the C.A.R.B. number ( D-###-##) on the part or on a sticker under the hood.

If you fail, scan your entire emissions report and post it here.

If you pass, YAY!

Who knows. I'm sure your Jeep would pass. As long as there is gas in it instead of cooking oil
