Soft Top Repair

I was hoping someone could suggest a way to repair a cut in the soft top about an inch long. I didn't find anything specifically made for this when searching the net. Any direction would be helpful on what has worked for you guys. Thanks.

i had a 2x2 hole. i cut a piece of naugahide about 2 times as the hole. i applied 3m glue to both the top and the patch. once dry i whip stiched the patch to the top. then i painted more 3m glue over the stitching. it's been 2 years now with no leaks. we had 2 in of rain yesterday and no leak.

I wouldn't argue with NavyChief's advice. He lives in the rainiest place in the world.

When repairing a soft top, think more along the lines of tent or sail repair. You need to make sure it won't rip further, that it stays watertight, and you probably want it to blend in.
