something broken in the rear end?

in my 94 2.5l everytime i down shift or let off the gas if feels like the whole body shifts, i havent been able to put it on a lift yet bc i finally got it to be driveable on the road with a new steering box. any suggestions? i think it may be a body mount or tranny mount

Are you expierencing torque steer? If you accelerate, does it pull to one side & pull to the other when you let off the gas to shift?

I'm fighting this problem right now, still trying to track it down. First thing to do is visually inspect everything under the Jeep. Check the U bolts on the rear end, check the spring shackels, check the body mounts, make sure everything is still torqued down.
