sometimes its the simple things

So last night we changed the fuel filter and worn out drive belt on our new to us 91 wrangler. The fuel filter was easy enough. The belt was pretty simple too, would have been easier to do had the adjusting bolt under the power steering pump not been frozen up at first.

Anyway, just ended up being a couple of hours of simple fun. The belt was just for piece of mind but was suprised about the result from the filter. When it was done, couldn't believe the improvement in throttle tip in, but of course looking at the gas coming out of that filter, I'm guessing it was way overdue, could hardly blow through it.

In the age of computer controlled OBD IV laptop tuned this and that, 100k miles no tuneup mumbo jumbo which we all appreciate, it is nonetheless refreshing to work on this jeep and enjoy how simple things can make a difference.

What has been a simple thing you have done to your jeep lately that suprised you?
