Im thinking about getting a soundbar for my YJ. Any opinions on them? Which one sounds the best? I dont want to use up floor space as it is limited in space to begin with.

I have a 2 speaker sound bar and a pair of sound wedge's with 6x9's, All are run through an amp mounted under the rear seat. You may lose a little rear travel in the seats with the wedges but i'm 5'8 and no issues with leg room in mine. Can hear the tunes with no problems whatsoever. Having the soundbar puts those speakers close to your head and helps you hear the music without cranking the volume way up.

Most soundbars, if you pull the velco flaps (that wrap around the srpeader bar) there is a metal plate that wraps part way around the spreader bars and has 2 holes on each side, you drill into the spreader bars and run some screws into them to attatch the soundbar securely.

Man you brought this thread back from the grave! I agree with the majority, a sound bar is a must. My old YJ had Jensen speakers in it, they were ok, my current YJ has Infinity Kappas in it. Snazzy.

Since this got resurrected I'll play. I picked up a used sound bar that someone tried to cut larger to accept 4x6s. Not sure I can get it to work or not. If not, I'll be building my own.
My yj had a soundbar in it when I got it. After reinstalling it properly (screws missing, banging all over the place), I couldn't imagine not having it. One of the speakers is a little buzzy and missing a grill. Come spring, I'll probably replace them. The original dash speakers are also hooked up, but are shot. I'll replaced them too, but I heard its a real bitch to do.
