I have blown stock speakers in my stock sound bar from a 95 sahara, i wanna get new ones. ive heard 6.5 fit as a squeeze, but im just looking for the best option. I really wanna get polk speakers if anything...how big are the stock speakers for a yj?

They are 4 inch speakers in the sound bar. Do you have any tools in case the 6.5s need trimming? Honestly, a decent set of 4 inch 2 ways will work just fine for a jeep. If you want base you need a sub any way. This is purely my opinion.

I don't really like the brand, but these have a ridiculous amount of positive reviews.

Nice Polks

5.25s might fit as well...

Ok that all helps, but on amazon it knows i have a 95 yj and it says the 4" polks dont fit, but it doesnt say why. on crutchfield, they dont have the 4" polks but they do have the 5.25 and the 6" polks, that they say work as a "modified fit", not sure what to do

I would guess amazon is wrong in saying they don't fit. I bet it will tell you a 4x6 fits. Those are for the front. Maybe since the sound bar wasn't standard...not sure.

I just put 6.5 speakers in mine had to open up the hole.HF sells an air powered saw cheap that makes that easy. The only real concern is depth, the sound bar is not real deep so speakers that are deep or have big magnets could be a problem.
Just measure first.
