Spare tire fitment

Will a 33x12.50x15 on a 15x8 wheel with 4.0 backspace fit on the factory YJ spare tire mount? I plan to later ger a rear bumper with a tire carrier but in the mean time I would like to carry a spare.

I'm not sure, but Quadratec and others sell an extension bracket for $49.00 that takes care of that. If you lived closer I'd sell you mine since I don't need it anymore.

My 32x11.5 were pretty tight, you may not be holding with many threads. Besides that, it can ruin your tailgate. The weight on my tailgate ended up causing the tailgate to sag, I had to lift up on the tire as I shut the door, your tire will be even heavier.

you can readjust your tailgate so it closes properly but that extra weight is hell on these tailgates..

you may be able to fit it between the backseat and the tailgate in the mean time.

Thanks Harley, I finally gave up and bought the Dirtworx bumper and tire carrier. I was able to adjust my tailgate to work and now have no more problems.
