Speedo not working..

Where should I look first? I have a Hayne's manual but it doesnt tell you where the actual cable from the tranny is or goes to. Any help would be awesome!

Thanks

The speedo actually gets its input from the TCase. There is a little mechanical gear that goes into the top of the tail housing. Did this just happen or did you make any changes and then it occured?

I'd check there first to make sure that gear is okay and then pop the gauge cluster out on the dash and make sure everything is hooked up still.

my 94 renegade has no cable. it is a three wire plug on the speedo gear housing. one has power, one sends to speedo and the other goes to the pcm.
did the speedo work and then just quit?

92 + are electronic and will have wires, the older models are cable driven. If you have the wired kind you can check them with a 9 volt battery. I used this method to determine that my sensor at the tcase was bad.
