I recently got a new starter to replace the original one on my 4.2 liter. During the install, I found out that the starter relay was bad. I purchased a new one for $45 from napa and hooked all the wires back up. As soon as I hooked the battery up, I heard a pop from the relay. The jeep still had power, but would not start. Anyone have any suggestions?
Maybe pics of their relay and how it is hooked up.
I searched prior to posting this. And to answer before the question is asked, I took several pics with the old relay on and the wires were replaced the same way on the new one.
It has to be related to the wire that goes from the starter to the relay.. just dont know why though..
