Question starting-moisture; dashboard lights

1994 sahara starts fine in dry weather but within last few weeks will not start after rainshower; after sitting all night during which there is a rain shower and still is drizzling in am, motor will turn over but not fire--any suggestions? also, during the last few months the SERVICE ENGINE lisht has lit up on dashboard but engine performance does not seem to be effected; i wonder if that has anything to do with starting.

finally, how difficult is it to change lightbulbs behind speedo; they have burned out; also, does anybody know what number bulbs they are and how many are behind speedo (tach lights still lit-same questions-how many and what size); anybody have any thoughts on replacing with LED lights? any and all responses greatly appreciated.

I would replace distributor cap rotor plugs and wires. Bulbs are 194 and led is a popular upgrade. Lots of phillips screws to get it out but pretty easy to change.

Definately look at the cap, rotor, and wires like jeep716 said. But also peek at the coil plug. Common for them to fail from moisture.
On a dry day, you can take a squirt bottle and mist water on different spots to pinpoint the issue.
For the check engine light, cycle the key to get the code and you should be able to find the code list here on the forum.
